Predicting the far-field transmission of SARS-CoV-2 indoors - News-Medical.net

Image
In a recent preprint study researchers from the UK predicted the infection rate by far-field airborne transmission (that occurs at distances of greater than two meters) of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) indoors - showing the probability of transmission increase with occupancy. The researchers observed that far-field transmission is likely to be a rare event. The study recommends standard ventilation use or its equivalent and to increase the space volume per person, along with reductions in viral load and infection rate of the wider population. Study: A population framework for predicting the proportion of people infected by the far-field airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 indoors. In 2018, there were approximately 4 million chlamydial infections among people ages 15–39 years. Because this STI is a bacterial infection, it's treated with antibiotics. The two most common antibiotic treatments for chlamydial infections are azithromycin and doxycycline. A vagina's pH level helps keep it slightly acidic and healthy. The normal flora or healthy bacteria in the vagina thrive when the pH level is balanced. These harmless bacteria, along with vaginal discharge, keep the vagina clean and infection-free. This article explores the definition of pH levels, the normal pH of the vagina, and how it relates to normal flora. It also discusses symptoms of an unbalanced pH as well as home remedies to help keep levels balanced. If you suspect it's unbalanced, easy-to-use at-home tests are available. Normal pH Level pH stands for potential hydrogen. pH levels are based on a scale of 0 to 14 and measure acidity or alkalinity . Numbers lower than 7 are acidic, while higher numbers are alkaline (basic). pH scale The pH scale ranges from 0 (acidic) to 14 (basic): Less than 7 = acidic 7 = neutral  Greater than 7 = basic pH levels vary throughout the body.
